As much as I like using epilators, some models are just plain brutal on your skin. I chanced upon Panasonic ES2067W Epilglide Ultra Epilator in a magazine one day and impressed by its good reviews, I decided to buy it and try it for myself. This is a peculiar looking epilator. I was attracted to the nifty 360 degree spinning heads which promised a nice massage while reducing pain. Plus its also a wet/dry epilator, which I liked.

It usually takes some time to get use to epilators but I got acquainted with Epilglide Ultra pretty quickly. Epilglide Ultra gives a mild sensation of hairs coming off, with no yanking whatsoever. Its spinning head removes hair at a strategic angle, minimizing pain. I love Epilglide Ultra’s dry/wet versatility. You can use it dry on the legs and wet with soap and water on the underarms and bikini area during long, pampering showers. I was facing some trouble finding a good epilator for the underarms. My strip head epilator failed me there. Thankfully, Epilglide Ultra’s round spinning heads intuitively glides over soft underarm skin, making hair removal there a breeze.

With Epilglide, there is practically zero chance of seeing red, or tiny bumps for that matter. I find that I only need to epilate once a week with this device. Hairs also grow back softer and thinner. The only drawback would be its failure to pluck longer hairs. You can if you want but beware, as the epilator tends to choke on longer hairs. De-clogging it can be a real pain. So avoid the fuss by remembering to trim down or shave longer hairs prior to using this epilator. After the initial trimming down, everything becomes smooth sailing.

So far I would say this is the best epilator for sensitive skin and many of friends who tried it said they didn’t get red spots or bumps after using it, which means it did its job well enough without harming the skin.
