Who is the Remington EP7035 for?
The EP7035 is the right epilator if you are curious about epilation but not ready to commit flagship money, or if you want a capable second device to keep in a travel bag. It suits people who mainly epilate their legs, want the comfort of wet use, and would rather not pay for refinements they may not need. The included bikini trimmer and comfort caps also make it a sensible all-in-one starter kit.
It is less suited to people with very coarse hair who want maximum power, or to those who epilate constantly and will appreciate the longer battery and slicker build of a flagship. For those buyers the Emjoi Emagine or the Braun Silk-epil 9 are better long-term homes. As an affordable way in, though, the Remington does the core job honestly.
How the Remington EP7035 performs
Hair removal
With 40 tweezer discs, the EP7035 removes hair more effectively than its price suggests. On legs it clears a clean strip and the results last the usual two to four weeks. It is not as surgical on the very shortest hairs as the dearer units, so you may make the odd extra pass, but for everyday leg regrowth it does a solid, dependable job.
The pivoting head
The pivoting head is the EP7035's most welcome feature at this price. It tilts to follow the curve of shins and knees, keeping the tweezers in contact with the skin where a fully rigid head would skip and miss. It is not the fully flexible head of the flagship Braun, but it makes a real difference around the awkward parts of the leg and helps cut down painful repeat passes.
Comfort and wet use
Crucially for a budget unit, the EP7035 is washable and works wet. Being able to epilate in a warm bath or shower takes a real edge off the discomfort, which matters most for newcomers, and it lets you rinse the head clean afterwards. The simple two-speed control lets you start gently before stepping up, which again helps when your skin is still adjusting.
Accessories and build
The box includes a bikini trimmer and comfort caps, accessories you would often pay extra for elsewhere, so the EP7035 is genuinely ready for the whole body out of the box. The build is plainer than the flagships and the battery runs for around 30 minutes per charge, enough for a legs session but worth charging ahead of a full-body routine.
The honest downside: battery and finish
The EP7035's compromises are exactly the ones you would expect at this price: a shorter battery life and a less premium feel in the hand. Neither stops it doing its job. Thirty minutes covers most sessions if you charge it first, and the plainer finish has no bearing on how well it removes hair. If you want a slicker device with a longer battery and a flexible head, you simply have to spend more, the Philips Satinelle is the next step up. As a low-cost, low-risk way to try epilation, the Remington asks for very few concessions.
